Student admission
Firstly:-
The Coordination Office determines the number of new Egyptian and non-Egyptian students who can be accepted in the academic year from among those who have qualified certificates to join the institute after taking the opinion of the Supreme Council for Institute Affairs at the end of each academic year.
secondly:-
Admission of new students and those who have high school diplomas or their equivalent shall be through the Coordination Office for Admission to Universities and Higher Institutes and is subject to the conditions stipulated by a decision of the Minister of Higher Education.
Third:-
The institute accepts students who have:
- High school (science and mathematics) or equivalent
- Diploma of technical preparation institutes in the specializations specified in the admission guide
- Technical secondary school (five-year system) with specializations specified in the admission guide
- Azhariya Secondary School (scientific)
- Foreign and Arab equivalent certificates (scientific)
This is in addition to the following conditions:-
- Success in the arts aptitude test
- Success in the personal test (the institute may conduct admission exams in some subjects related to study at the institute)
- He must pass the medical examination and prove that he is free of infectious diseases and is fit to continue studying at the institute (according to the rules determined by the Supreme Council for Institute Affairs)
- He must have a good reputation and good conduct
Student enrollment
Firstly:-
The student is not considered enrolled in the institute until he completes all his papers and pays all tuition and additional fees, insurance, and the examination fee.
secondly:-
Each student is given a personal card with his photo stuck on it, signed by the dean of the institute, and stamped with the institute’s seal. This card must be presented in every academic matter. No student is allowed to attend lessons, lectures, practical exercises, or take exams unless he holds his card.
Transfer students
Firstly:-
Students’ registrations are transferred and transferred between institutes according to the following rules:
- It is not permissible to consider transferring students enrolled in the preparatory year between corresponding institutes unless the student obtains the minimum grade reached by admission to the institute to which the transfer is requested. This is done with the approval of the deans of the two institutes. However, if the student does not obtain the minimum grade reached by admission. In the institute to which a transfer is requested, it is permissible to transfer him for pathological reasons approved by the Medical Commission or for social circumstances approved by the institute’s board of directors.
- It is permissible to consider transferring students enrolled in a group higher than the preparatory group to one of the corresponding institutes if there are social or health conditions that require transfer, with the approval of the deans of the two institutes. In this case, the student may be enrolled in a group corresponding to the group in which he was enrolled, while taking the necessary exams in some subjects without exception. More than one subject taught by the student (subject loaded for the student).

- The enrollment of an accepted student may be transferred to a group higher than the first group in any of the university colleges or from a non-corresponding institute, provided that he obtains the minimum total of grades reached by admission to the institute to which he is requested to transfer in the year of obtaining his high school diploma, with the approval of the deans of the two institutes. In this case The student will be enrolled in the first study group at the institute.
- In all previous cases, it is required that the student to be transferred or whose enrollment is transferred has not exhausted the chances of failure, nor has the student been expelled for disciplinary reasons. It is also required that the transfer request be submitted at the institute to which the transfer is requested before the start of studies. In all cases, review and approval by the head of the relevant central administration is required.
- Students who have been expelled from military colleges or police colleges due to their unfitness for military life, or who have exhausted their failure times, may be accepted, provided that the student obtains the total and the qualifying subjects in the year of obtaining high school.
secondly:-
Students who have exhausted their failure times may be accepted into colleges and higher institutes according to the following rules:
- The student must be enrolled in the college or higher institute in the academic year preceding the year in which he joins the institute.
- He must have a certificate that qualifies him to join the institute and a total that qualifies him to join the institute in the year he obtains that certificate - and enrollment in the first year is for freshmen - and the students’ papers are submitted to the institute to be sent to the relevant department in the ministry, and their acceptance is with the approval of the ministry.
Third:-
A student may be registered and re-registered in the following cases:
- A new student who has not completed his registration procedures for an acceptable excuse
- The student who withdrew his papers while enrolled in the institute and provided an excuse
- The student who did not apply to the coordination office in the year of obtaining high school due to an acceptable excuse
In all cases, the year that passes without the student registering himself in it is considered a year of failure - and registration or re-enrollment shall be by decision of the head of the relevant central administration.
Fourthly:-
In the event that the student is transferred to the institute after paying the fees to the institute from which he is transferred, the institute is entitled to receive half of the tuition fees, all additional fees, and all insurances when the transfer is made to it in the first half of the academic year.
Fifth:-
The student who takes the exam from abroad pays the exam fee scheduled for his division, excluding tuition fees and additional fees.
Sixthly:-
The Institute allocates a percentage of not less than 5% of the total expenses for cases of exemption from expenses. This percentage may not be reduced except with the approval of the Minister of Higher Education, and the exemption shall be in accordance with the rules established by the Board of Directors of the Institute, taking into account the social situation, disasters, and excellence.
Seventh:
The Institute's Board of Directors has the right to propose amending the categories of fees and deposits required of the Institute's students, whether increasing or decreasing, if there is justification for this, and the approval of the Minister of Higher Education is required.
