Unit of measurement and evaluation message
Establishing advanced educational and technological systems and methods in student assessment to provide measurement and evaluation services for the targeted educational outcomes of the Institute’s various academic programs within a framework of justice, accuracy and objectivity in order to achieve efficiency and competitiveness for the Institute’s graduates.
Objectives of the measurement and evaluation unit
The unit aims to adopt advanced mechanisms for student evaluation and examinations, consistent with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, in order to achieve the mission and objectives of the institute through:
1. Spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation and training the institute’s faculty, administrators and students on evaluation and examination systems.
2. Preparing question banks for courses and training on them in light of the targeted learning outcomes and academic standards for programs that serve the specialization.
3. Developing examination evaluation mechanisms and adopting evaluation systems for students using modern educational and technological methods to improve the educational system and ensure the quality of its outcomes.
4. Ensuring the quality of follow-up of the student evaluation process and sustainable improvement.
5. Follow modern electronic correction methods and statistical analysis.
6. Implementing electronic examinations and electronic correction of some courses.
7. Developing practical and oral tests.
8. Preparing the note card for the oral exams (discussion).
9. Training faculty members on self-evaluation.
10. Preparing a guide for student evaluation.
